Antonio was born and raised in an eastern Mexican seaboard town where he completed his high school education. As he always had an interest in education, travelling and learning about different cultures, Antonio decided to combine these interests and pursue his post-secondary education abroad.

He pursued studies at the University of Toronto in Canada, where he was awarded with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Latin-American studies. The desire to further broaden his academic experience brought him to one of England’s top law schools, the School of Law at the University of Hertfordshire, where he graduated with an Honours Law degree (LL.B. Hons.). While attending law school, he worked pro-bono at the Enfield Law Centre in London where he gained experience dealing with clients in the areas of Immigration, Family and Property law.

After returning to Canada, Antonio articled with a well-respected Toronto litigation firm where he had the opportunity to represent motor vehicle accident plaintiffs in civil actions against insurance companies. As part of his litigation experience, Antonio also assisted in the areas of Family and Immigration law. During the course of his employment with the firm, he made numerous court appearances before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and other tribunals.

Antonio was called to the Bar in Ontario as a Barrister and Solicitor and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association, the Peel Law Association and the Hispanic Ontario Lawyer’s Association.

As a lawyer, Antonio takes pride in his ethical and intellectual dedication to the practice of law and his clients. On a final note, when Antonio is not practising law, he enjoys photography, golfing, playing classical guitar, wine tasting and travelling. Some of the most interesting places he has visited include India, Morocco, England, Scotland, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Monaco, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, the United States, the Maritime Provinces in Canada, and several places across Mexico.

Patricia Laver

Patricia joined Guerrero Law in June 2010 as a senior Real Estate Law Clerk.  She has an extensive background in residential and commercial real estate transactions and refinancing of mortgages.  She also deals with all aspects of Corporate Law, supports our Wills and Estates practice and is a Commissioner of Oaths for our firm. 

Patricia graduated from the Law Clerk programme at Humber College in April of 2000 and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario.  Shortly after graduating, Patricia began A.S.A.P. Legal Management Inc., a company that provided support to real estate law firms in Brampton.  She also worked for various prestigious real estate companies in the Greater Toronto Area where she has accumulated a wealth of experience. 

In her spare time, Patricia enjoys spending time with her family, working out and offering support and advice in Fitness and Nutrition.

Barbara Hirsch

Barbara is the firm’s Human Resources and Public Relations Manager.  She holds degrees from the University of Toronto and the University of Roehampton, England.  She has worked for various employers in Canada and the U.K.  Barbara is fluent in Spanish, French, and Romanian. 

Barbara enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her son.
